Red Star Cleaner FAQ's

Red Star Cleaning Paste

How do I apply the paste?
Rub a small amount (dime sized) of the paste onto a damp sponge or cloth.
Apply to the area you wish to clean in a circular motion until satisfied with result. Simply wipe away the remaining paste or rinse with area with water and see your surface shine!

Is there anything I CANNOT use the paste on?
Soft composite plastics like Perspex should not be cleaned with the paste. Always spot test on an inconspicuous place to check for suitability.

What can I use the paste on?
Red Star paste works on nearly everything! We love it for bathtubs, shower screens, pots/pans, cutlery, cook-tops, BBQ's, hands (especially grimey tradie hands!), markers on tables, rubber soles of shoes and gumboots, tools, the list goes on! If you're unsure, patch test on an inconspicuous part of the item you wish to clean.

Red Star Laundry Powder

How many washes can I expect to get out of each bag?
Up to 50 washes for the 1kg bag and up to 200 washes for the 4kg bag.

How much powder should I use per load?
Front Loader: Approx half a scoop (20gms).
Top Loader: Approx one scoop (40gms).
Hand Wash: Approx half a scoop (20gms) mixed with warm water before immersing garment.

I've never used Red Star laundry powder before. How do I prepare my washing machine for the first wash?
We strongly recommend running your machine on empty (with powder only) one time before using the powder with clothing. Use roughly 40g of the product and on the longest cycle. Given the powerful cleaning properties of Red Star laundry powder, you'll find it will clean out the build-up in your washing machine from previous powders which likely had fillers and additives. Be sure to check the filter as well as it may have a large build-up and will need some manual cleaning to achieve a thorough result.

Red Star Laundry Sheets

What can I do with the sheet after the washing cycle is complete?
If you would like to re-purpose the sheet after using it in the washing machine, you may use it as an anti-static for the dryer, a cleaning cloth, put it in shoes to deodorise and absorb moisture, or put in a drawer to refresh the contents! Once you're ready to dispose of the sheet simply throw away or compost.

Do I need a full sheet for each load of laundry?
We recommend half a sheet (each sheet is perforated) for a small load and a full sheet for larger loads of laundry. If you're unsure, start with half and see how you go.

What are the sheets made out of?
Each sheet is made from degradable bamboo material, so after each wash you can easily dispose of it, compost it, or repurpose it!
